1. Scope
This standard specifies the technical requirements for Kevlar Braided Sleeve for automobiles.
This standard applies to high temperature silicon cable bushings for automobiles.
2. Reference standards
GB/T528-1998 Determination of tensile stress-strain properties of vulcanized rubber or thermoplastic rubber.
GB/T531-1999 Rubber pocket durometer indentation hardness test method.
GB/T1690-1992 Test method for liquid resistance of vulcanized rubber.
GB/T3512-1983 Rubber hot air aging test method.
GB/T5563-1994 Hydraulic test method for rubber and plastic hoses and hose assemblies.
GB/T7759-1996 Determination of compression deformation of vulcanized rubber and thermoplastic rubber at room temperature, high temperature and low temperature.
3. Technical requirements
1. Product structure
Cable sleeving consisting of four or five layers of reinforced fabric and Kevlar Braided Sleeve. The material of the reinforcing fabric layer is aramid fiber, and the inner and outer surfaces of the fiber cloth are completely impregnated with Kevlar Braided Sleeve compound, and the layers are evenly distributed. The thickness of the fabric layer is 0.4mm, 0.5mm, and the nominal mass is 150g/m2. The product should be able to be used continuously at 250°C and intermittently at 300°C.
2. Appearance, the hose is not allowed to have defects such as blisters, cracks, and local unevenness.
3. The physical and mechanical properties of the rubber. The physical and mechanical properties of the rubber should meet the requirements in Table 1.
4. Performance of Cable Sleeve:
1) Product hardness: Shore A hardness is 60±5 degrees at 23±2°C.
2) Burst pressure: The product must be able to withstand a burst pressure of 1.2Mpa.
3) High temperature performance: when placed at 250°C for 168 hours, there should be no cracks or breaks on the inner and outer surfaces, and the Shore A hardness of the product should not exceed 70 degrees. Placed at 300°C for 168h, there should be no cracks or breaks on the inner and outer surfaces.
After aging at 250℃×168h, the burst pressure should not be lower than 1.2Mpa.
4) Low-temperature elasticity: place it at -55°C for 4 hours, quickly compress it radially to 50%, and there should be no cracks or breaks on the inner and outer surfaces.
5) Bonding between layers: When pulled apart at a rate of 50mm/min, the bonding force of the inner and outer layers should be ≥ 1.75KN/m.
6) Ozone resistance: place it in an ozone atmosphere with a concentration of 50±5ppbm and a temperature of 40°C for 70 hours, and observe no obvious visible cracks on the surface with a double magnifying glass
7) Compression performance: After the high-temperature test, the Cable Sleeve is compressed radially to 50% at a rate of 50mm/min, and there should be no cracks or breaks on the inner and outer surfaces.
