Why should white carbon black be added to the Automotive Wiring Harness Protection Sleeve?

Silica plays a very important role in the production of Automotive Wiring Harness Protection Sleeve. The main varieties of silica are precipitated silica, fumed silica, post-fumed silica, etc. In high-temperature vulcanized Braided Sleeve, RTV Braided Sleeve or addition-type liquid Cable Sleeve, the requirements for silica are also different. In the same way, sometimes it is necessary to add a structure control agent, and sometimes it needs to be pretreated. Different types of white carbon black are added to different types of Automotive Wiring Harness Protection Sleeve.

Different requirements between the treatment method and the treatment result of the pretreatment of white carbon black: white carbon black is added into the Braided Sleeve as a reinforcing filler after treatment, mainly to enhance the mechanical strength. But it also brings other disadvantages. like:
①The viscosity of the Cable Sleeve increases sharply, which is not conducive to operation;
②Brought in other impurity components to affect the performance of the Braided Sleeve.
As for the compound rubber, generally no treatment is required, as long as the structure control agent is added; single-component moisture-cured Braided Sleeve often have to take into account fluidity, extrudability and thixotropy; liquid Braided Sleeve mainly consider fluidity. For liquid Braided Sleeve, silicone resin can be added to reinforce and improve its mechanical properties, so as to obtain high-strength transparent Braided Sleeve. The biggest difference between the addition type and the condensation type is that the crosslinking agent and crosslinking mechanism are different, and the treatment of silica is the same!
